Dyea Campground
Alaska Wildflowers

This area, 9 miles from Skagway, was an alternate staging area for the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898-1899. The US Forest Service campground is about half a mile south of the Chilkoot Pass Trailhead. These images illustrate different aspects of fly agaric mushrooms. This group grew in a small area of the campground. The ones, at right, could be a Dali painting; a unique one for me.
