Lady of the Woods Trail

Dr. Earl Bush created the figure in 1917. He was providing medical services for the crews building Rim Drive around the lake. Later, the park headquarters buildings shared the site. The Lady of the Woods, top left,, and the buildings are listed in the National Register of Historical Places. A connector trail to the Castle Crest Trail starts across the park road. Sky rocket gilia flowers launch from trailside, top right. An "Elephant Man" growth (left profile) envelops a tree along the connector trail, right.
