Sahale Arm Trail

The Goal! Sahale Glacier and Sahale Mountain, above and bottom right. The trail meanders through the center of the image, above. It climbs over the two moraines, above the tundra. Tent spaces are in the glacier area - the large white field at the top. Sahale Peak stands just above the glacier, right. Doubtful Lake laps against snowfields at the base of Sahale Mountain, top right. The terrain is so steep only part of the lake is visible from the trail. The most difficult section of this trail is ahead. The climb over the moraines is steep and uncharted. Ducks are everywhere but follow no single traverse. Hikers just follow the path of least resistance.
