trekked about 5 miles along Moraine Creek, and crossed the moraine
at the foot of Carbon Glacier. It was about midday when I arrived
at my next assigned camp at Carbon River. It was a beautiful area
with Cataract Creek nearby, top right. I asked the ranger there if
I could continue to Ipsut Creek Campground, 3 miles farther west.
He radioed Ipsut and I got to go. I got to photograph more lush scenery
along the way. I'd heard about asking rangers to adjust the itinerary
if possible. I used it again the next afternoon ! |
