These two photos were taken one after the other with about the same lighting. Left image is a 35mm slide scanned directly to Photoshop and adjusted to JPEG format for this web page. Right image is a 35mm b\w negative used to make a 5"x7" chemical darkroom print. The print was scanned to Photoshop and changed to a JPEG for this page. Each has its own unique quality. The left photo reveals the different colors of rock while the right one emphasizes more of the texture. Which is best? It's up to the viewer.
