curving inland past Mount Scott, East Rim Drive works its way back
to Crater Lake's rim to give the traveler more spectacular views.
Several turnouts allow for casual stops. These scenes are near Palisade
Point. South view, right; Phatom Ship appears as a light dot sitting
in the shadow of Sun Notch with Dutton Cliff to the left, and Applegate
Peak to the right. Garfield Peak is to the far right. A closer look
