									The view from Cloudcap is magnificent, but there are environmental lessons to be learned. A weather-beaten sign attests to the truth offered by the text. This spot can be brutal in winter. Only long distance skiers would know. East Rim Drive is closed from early November to early July, depending on the depth of snow. Low vegetation, left, though natural, has the appearance of a human landscaped garden.
