Going-to-the-Sun Road West
Glacier National Park
A driver's view of the Sun Road, heading west, from Logan Pass, left and top right. An early morning drive, even in midsummer, results in light traffic, left, and top right. The other two photos give views southwest from the Sun Road as it winds down the west side of the Continental Divide. The 50 mile long Going-to-the-Sun Road runs 16 miles from Saint Mary to Logan Pass. The rest of the miles run out on the west side of the pass to Apgar, at the west end of Lake McDonald.
