Fishcap
Lake, top right, less than 1/4th(?) of a mile from the Swiftcurrent
Pass trailhead, is a pleasant stop along the trail. Families with
small children can make this a day hike from the Many Glacier Campground
or village parking lot. Brilliant flowers are encountered along the
path, especially in July and August. A hollyhock(?) type of plant
bursts forth in large blossoms, above. Yellow buttercup(?) like flowers
mingle with flaming paintbrush, right. I know it's tempting, but don't
pick the wildflowers. They're protected in national parks. Take a
dip in the lake instead. |
