Redrock
Falls tumbles over its namesake boulders at the west end of the lake.
After a two mile trek on the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail, it's a good
place to pull up a rock or spot of grass to look and listen. You can
still find wildflowers not seen so far. A cornflower stalk breaks
out in flowers, above. I saw them around the campground, but this
was the first one in full bloom. If you still want to explore ahead,
the trail continues to follow Swiftcurrent Creek past a series of
small lakes, including Bullhead Lake, just below Swiftcurrent Pass.
I saw a black wall of clouds headed my way from the west. So I hightailed
it back down the trail. |
