| Continuing
up MT HWY 49 to its juncture with US HWY 89, grand vistas of fall
colors spread over the hillsides, top left and above. Divide Peak
(?) peeks over a colored wall of trees, left. Descending toward Saint
Mary, on US HWY 89, top right, smoke from a forest fire drifts over
Saint Mary Lake and the mountains to the west. Going to the Sun Mountain
is on the right, Red Eagle Mountain on the left. Photography would
be a challenge for my current visit. On two prior trips, I experienced
varied weather; torrential cloud bursts alternated with bright sunshine
and puffy cumulus clouds. I've decided that most visitors will experience
the same; so show them the worst! |
