Cunningham Cabin Historic Site

Farther south on the Rockefeller Parkway, past Spread Creek, the Cunningham Cabin is one of several significant historical sites in the park. Built and inhabited around 1895, it's the oldest man made structure in the park. John Cunningham filed for a homestead in 1889 and developed a ranch over the next several years. Some historians question if this was the original cabin. The cabin has two rooms; north room, above and south room, right, separated by a breezeway. The Cunninghams lived in the south room while ranch workers occupied the north one. The family moved to Idaho in 1928 when the park bought the property.
