Center for Wilderness Studies treks required 7-10 days; weather didn't shorten or cancel; part of the program was learning to deal with adverse conditions. Bivouacking could be a rare break; or a rough task, top left and right. The terrain could present a grand view; or an exertion at every step, bottom left and right. Physical and mental training improved with each trip.
