An
artistically designed, yet functional, water trough sits below the
the dam. It's located in a marshy area, but water must have flowed
through it at one time. I visited in March-April, near the end of
the "rainy" season; so water was plentiful. A weathered
wooden trough lies nearby - three examples of methods of holding water
in the desert, including Barker Dam. |
