| The area around the ranch house supports vegetation found in the Mojave Desert sector of Joshua Tree National Park: Counter clockwise from top left; grasses and shrubs around the water tank; Mojave yucca supporting a bird - maybe a cactus wren; juniper trees; prickly pear cactus. Not much here to support cattle; probably they were free range at that time. |
