Ocotillo
Patch is another fine spot to wander among desert plants. It's about
2 miles south of Cholla Cactus Garden, on Pinto Basin Road. These
spindly branches, reaching for the sky, remind you that you're deep
into the Transition Zone from the Mojave to the Colorado Desert. I
usually catch the blossoms in early spring. The green leaves can grow
anytime after rain. |
