A short, level jaunt brings you to Silver Lake. Stark tree skeletons circle the shore. The only positive signs for the hiker are the flowering flora mixed with the fallen trees. This largest of the Cluster Lakes appears dramatically "unforested." At least there's a clear view of Mt Lassen's north face!
