Starting from the west end of the trail, I arrived at Cliff Lake on a late October afternoon. The slanting sunlight cast a glow on some of the vegetation. The trail reaches all three lakes within three miles from the west trailhead. For a longer hike continue east about another 5 miles to Summit Lake. The trail links with other trails at both ends.
