This
campground is a good place for a base camp while exploring Hurricane
Ridge. It's about 4 miles south of the Port Angeles Visitor Center
on the Hurricane Ridge road. It has 105 sites, the second largest
in the park. I've found lots of local plants to photograph there on
every visit. Top left, salal berries. Goat's beard (?) or sea spry
(?), above. The mushrooms - I call them Siamese twins - grew on a
log at my campsite. These are digital, those on the next two pages
were done on an earlier. They are scanned 35 mm slide film. |
