An
interpretive sign at the trailhead explains sea stacks and their environmental
role for birds. I've been here several times. The fog was always present.
I took no photos. I was using film then. Now, with a digital camera,
and much more flexibility with ISO settings, I fired away.
US HWY 101 turns south at Forks WA. It runs inland, about 10 miles
from the coast. After it crosses the Hoh River, it angles southwest
to the coast and Ruby Beach. This begins the last stretch of the coastal
park. |
