          | I
visited Natural Bridges State Beach the first week of February. It's
known as a winter habitat for monarch butterflies. I visualized a
massive orange and black wall of sleeping insects clinging to stately
eucalyptus trees. I was a bit late for the sleep-in. A few were fluttering
around along the Moore Creek Trail - too active to track with a camera.
So I settled for wildflowers. Common yellow woodsorrel was scattered
            along the trail. One bee did settle down long enough for a portrait. | | | | | | | | | |
