Day
eleven - woke up to a hard rain. The toilet had no roof, so the morning
visit required sitting in the rain! I packed up and headed up the
trail in a steady downpour. The wet weather created an iridescent
glow on the fall colors. At 5000ft plus elevation, combined with cold
weather, fall colors arrive early. Before this day is over, I'll see
some brief snow flurries around Summerland at 5900ft. Right, some
flowers are just getting to spread their seeds. This would be a ten
mile day, gaining about 900ft elevation with on and off rain, fog
and snow flurries. |
