Canyon Country ~ Lower Yellowstone Falls

Black and white or color? Both photos are from Artist Point (see map) at slightly different angles. I used my old Pentax Spotmatic with a 105mm fixed lens for the black and white picture. The color shot came from a Pentax 67 medium format camera with a 90mm lens, hence the slightly more distant view. Lower Yellowstone Falls is in one of the most dramatic settings of any falls I've seen. The color version reveals the orange to brown canyon walls, while the black and white one shows the mist at the base of the falls much better. It also highlights the contours of the canyon walls. The black and white version is a scanned print from a 35mm negative. The color one is a scanned 6x7cm (medium format) slide.
