Geyser Country

This area comes under the Geyser Country section of Yellowstone even though it contains two major lakes; Lewis and Shoshone. I've followed the National Parks Foundation Guide Book to determine these sections. Lewis Lake was base camp for this visit to the park. As I drove between it and the Geyser Basin area, I saw these pond lillies near the road. The Lewis Lake photos were done at the same time with two cameras. They are scanned 35mm images; color slide, and black and white 8"x10" print from a 35mm negative. The pond lillies image is a scanned 6x7cm (medium format) slide.
