Yellowstone National Park
Lake Country - West Thumb
A fleet of kayakers paddles by West Thumb. Top, Kayakers spread out on Yellowstone Lake with the Absaroka Range in the background. I don't think Fishing Cone is in the photo, above. It's usually under water at this early (June) time of the year. Fishing Cone got its name from fishermen cooking their catch in its boiling water. Individual and guided kayaking are allowed on Yellowstone and Lewis Lakes. Other types of boating are also allowed. Photos are from digital raw files.
