Dunraven Pass Road
Yellowstone National Park
Mount Washburn, above and top right, rises to 10, 243 ft. Dunraven Pass Road cuts across the mountain's shoulder, top right. The pass crosses at the 8859 ft level. Mid-June flowers take advantage of the short growing season here. The tallest peak, right, might be 9397 ft Observation Peak, west of Dunraven Pass Road. Top left, this grove of subalpine fir, on the west slope of Mt Washburn, is waning. I'm not sure if it's the result of fire or disease. All photos are from digital raw files.
