Rock Creek - Mono County
The trail along Rock Creek displays a variety of wildflowers in spring and summer. A monkey flower greets the morning, top left. The mountain strawberry, left, thrives in July at this 7000ft elevation; berries will come later. Lewis's blue flax blossoms, top right, demand attention from even the most inattentive hiker. The yellow flower, above, may be a type of cinquefoil.
