| I've
driven past this meadow frequently while visiting and living in the
Lake Almanor area. I never noticed this vast display of camas flowers
in all those years. This display spread its field of blue in the meadow
at the southwest edge of the US Forest Service North Almanor Campground.
I camped here most of May and early June, 2016. By chance, I was here
at the right time to capture this beautiful scene with my camera.
I traveled throughout the Northwest, Idaho and Montana for several
years, searching for blue camas. I didn't expect to find them in my
back yard! |
