and peas mass their troops for battle. The small yellow dandelion
relative maneuver into place, flanking a single pea unit, left. Another
yellow squad gathers near the impending struggle, above. Each of these
species thrive throughout most of northern California, from the coast
to the high foothills of the Sierra Nevada. With that much habitat
available, they shouldn't have to battle over the diminutive territory
beside my porch. The "Pea Patch Saga" continues. |
