Yellow Salsify, the small flower, top left and right, appeared as another minor intruder in the pea patch mayhem. Their antecedent generation left legacies for the future - several large seed heads. Heavy winter snows and spring rains have given area wildflowers, in summer 2023, a boost; more varieties and robust growth, salsify among them. See results on pages ahead.
