The common dandelion, unappreciated sunflower relative, and the bane of lawn lovers and landscape workers wherever it grows. Not being one of the above, with camera in hand, I focus on single plants, pointing out any positive attributes. A close look at the flower, above, displays an attractive symmetry. A slim stem extends the floral head toward the sun, top left. Cottonwood seeds blanket the ground below it, evidence that tree shade requires this effort.
