Yellow salsify, member of the sunflower family, and cousin to the common dandelion, gets no respect. Serious botanists include it in lists of flora, but it's seen as a pest plant by landscapers and the average person. Viewed up close, from above, or from the side, reveals a graceful, floral aspect. But, I don't own a lawn or agricultural crop.
