brings a gradual end to summer. Night temperature sink below freezing
constantly. Summer blossoms shrivel, fade, and fall to the ground,
joining the organic diet for the soil. Now it's fall foliage that
radiates; free of summer green. Two floral groups (left and right,
above) refuse to recognize the calendar's seasonal change. After a
series of night temperatures, the pea blossoms popped up, above. The
