The
Guadalupe Peak backcountry campground sits in a shady grove of alligator
juniper trees, about two thirds of the way up the trail. Clumps of
claret cups, top left, and white daisy-like flowers, right, decorate
the campground. I like the pattern of alligator juniper bark, above.
A new spring sprout starts its march toward becoming a full fledged
