A
few hundred feet before tackling the actual peak trail, there's a
interesting little bridge. It's just long enough to span a narrow
but precipitous gorge. The trail approaches the bridge, heading for
Guadalupe Peak, above. The other two images look back at the bridge
and gorge from the west side. After crossing, I took a break and watched
a lizard climb a tree trunk and warm up in the morning sun. It was
a good spot to take a break before undertaking the summit trail. |
