Guadalupe Peak Trail
The hazy day cut visibility somewhat from the summit that day; however, the scene was still impressive from this 8749 foot peak, the highest in Texas. Counter clockwise from top left: El Capitan's back looms up beside the summit marker; the view across the desert, northwest; and a lively group of climbers join me at the peak. From their conversations over lunch, I surmised they had conquered higher peaks than this, but were still delighted to have made this trek to the top of Texas.
