Going-to-the-Sun Road West
	The Trail of the Cedars Nature Trail starts right beside the Sun Road at Avalanche Creek. It meanders through a primeval rain forest, near the creek. The boardwalk makes the trail accessible to wheelchairs; it also helps protect the fragile, moist environment. This eastside half of the loop runs for .38 of a mile to Avalanche Gorge. There you have a choice; either turn left onto the Avalanche Lake Trail, or turn right onto the westside half of the loop. This half passes the picnic area.
