A trail runs from the Apgar Campground to the village, a short distance away. In late September, various forms of flora display their colors. Bright yellow aspen leaves, compete with red leafed bushes. This mushroom, top right, grows amid the fall colors. This type is always red in maturity. The Apgar Campground is the largest in the park. It has 192 sites.
