The
Many Glacier Valley is one of three areas the park paper calls "Off
the Beaten Path." These places are separate from the Going-to-the-Sun
Road; the backbone of the park. Swiftcurrent Creek flows on the south
side of the campground, right. It's headed east to join with Swiftcurrent
Lake. The campground is surrounded by conifer forest, middle right.
In early August, huckleberries begin to ripen, above. Cornflowers
and fireweed surround my campsite, far right. Many Glacier Campground
has 109 sites. |
