Many Glacier

Campground

All the foliage around the Many Glacier Campground sparkles with aqua diamonds after a rain shower. A close look at fireweed, top center, reveals a good amount of buds ready to pop before summer's end. It was early August when I shot these images. At 4878 feet in elevation, there's plenty of summer left for flowers to blossom.

Many Glacier is far from most of the services provided at Saint Mary or the small community of Babb. Therefore, a small village sits north of the campground. It has a little store, a restaurant, and motel. Many Glacier Hotel, including a restaurant, is just across Swiftcurrent Lake.
