closer look at some contemporary Native Americans indigenous to this
area, above. Explanatory panels with portraits and sample footprints
of local animals point out their important roles in maintaining an
environmental balance. There's a constant bear education process going
on at the park. A separate "Bears" folder is distributed
along with the familiar park map. We tend to associate Glacier National
Park with grizzly bears, however, black bears are just as numerous.
Both species are found throughout the park. |
