The canyon, just below Lake Solitude, has the last camping zone in the north arm (see map). Hikers must reserve a zone for each night. It was an all day hike, with pack, from String Lake trailhead. Cascade Creek, flowing out of Solitude Lake, tumbles down the hillside and passes behind my campsite, top and top right. Images are scanned 35mm slides.
