walls or cornices can block a route through rough country. No other
option available; either turn back or face the challenge. This wall
on Baxter Pass provided Center for Wilderness Studies trekkers with
snow climbing and rope skills. All CWS participants must carry multiple
feet of rope. Segments can be joined to make a longer climb, right.
Once over the barricade - time for fun, top left. The cornice from
