These fumeroles sit on both sides of the hairpin curve road (CA HWY 89) through the Sulphur Works. Most of the rest are now fenced off as a dangerous area. I drove past these for years, stopping sometimes to gaze, but never capturing them on film. Last fall (2009) I decided to neglect them no more. Unfortunately, I can no longer get near enough to photograph the rest.
