Horseshoe Park
Sheep Lakes, above, are 2 mi west of Aspenglen
Campground on Hwy 34. These lakes are rich in minerals, attracting
bighorn sheep. I saw no sheep during my stay although I drove by
twice a day on my way to and from other places. The alluvial fan,
top right, was created when a dam broke and water surged down Roaring
River, into Fall River, taking out Aspenglen Campground. Right,
Fall River calmly meanders through West Horseshoe Park. Photos taken
at a viewing area on Hwy 34 above the park. They are scanned 35mm
slides.
