Moraine Park
The mountains west of Moraine Park are sitting
under a nearly cloudless sky in the morning, above. By early afternoon
squall lines descend from the peaks, top right. Almost a daily occurrence
in summertime, you must plan your hiking and photography accordingly.
I waited out this shower in the Moraine Park Museum. The low, green
ridges in the foreground are lateral moraines left by receding glaciers
eons ago. The two photos, right, are from the museum's parking lot.
