My 10 mile day ended at Devil's Dream Camp, 2 miles north of the Pyramid Creek Camp. My reservation schedule log jammed on this day. I couldn't skip to Pyramid without a ranger's OK. My spot there was for the next day. Being flexible, from trekking experience, I explored Indian Henry's Hunting Ground, a mile back up the trail. I found several pools with tadpoles thriving in the clear water, right. Lewis's Red Monkey- Flowers decorated the pools' margins. A large bear ran across the trail behind me as I headed to Indian Henry's Hunting Ground - the only excitement of the day. Later in the day, I moved south 2 miles to Pyramid Creek Camp to end my seventh day.
