A
shallow thermal area under Yellowstone Lake created this small geyser
basin. It's really a smaller caldera within the larger Yellowstone
caldera. The lake level is just high enough to keep the area from
have a large steam explosion. Small geysers, springs, and mud pots
populate the area. You can let your creative juices flow and create
countless abstracts here. I don't know if this small elk was showing
off for the crowd or just sniffing the air. Photos are scanned 35mm
