	Yes, the scene at Avalanche Lake looks pretty dismal. This view is at the northwest end of the lake. You should be seeing a wall of mountains, at the southeast end, with snow fields and cascading water streams. Right, fall colors brighten the scene a little in a view, NW, back toward the lakehead.
