The
official name is Ladder Creek Falls Garden. The upper, top left, and
lower falls, top right, are the center piece of the garden - hence
my shortened title - as well as lack of space. The pool (now dry)
is typical of those throughout the garden as is the waterwheel pond
on the previous page. Falls Garden had its zenith in the 1930's but
couldn't be kept up in WW II. The plants and trees are still there
and it's is a spectacular place. The falls are difficult to photograph
because of low light. It requires placing a tripod on a steep staircase. |
